short post...
went out to work for just a short while
packing 700++ goody bags was quite tiring
met up with some online friends
played at plaza sing's arcade (why can't i ever improve in guitar freaks)
and ate at carl's jr. later on (oh forgive my sins...)

Portobello Mushroom Burger with 5 patties costing 2 dollars each (came down to 20 dollars)

i blame school for being late again (an excuse is not a good excuse blardy blar blar)

anyway this is Shibuya 109 (think it's the busiest crossing in the world???)

guess what this place is... (sorry it's a little dark)

it's an authentic japanese manga cafe!!! (once again for those who don't know a manga cafe or manga kissa is a kind of café in Japan where people can read manga. People pay for the time they stay in the café.) -referred to wiki again
oh and of course you have to pay to get into the manga cafe
forgot how much they charged (it's an hourly thing btw)

i certianly can't finish reading all of these... (even if i could read japanese that is...)

oh and it comes with a nice ~~cramp~~ cozy room with a pc installed with all the applications you will ever need to use in your personal pc

can order some junk food too...

all in all this place redefined my meaning of the "simple life"
we should really have more cafes like these in singapore

ok last day... (just when i learnt that the button on the traffic light is for the the blind (after pressing it, it plays some weird japanese folksong tune))

AV factories everywhere!!! literally...

my last proper meal in japan

and it's good bye to japan (for now that is >.>)
i'll really miss this pudding drink (best pudding thingy out there imo)

first of all... happy new year (don't see much point in celebrating them though)
and second of all... i decided to speed up this japan thing
hopefully my blog can catch up with my current life soon
these 3 days reminds me of the stuff you see in japan hour (hurray for exaggeration)

(Japan day 4)
think this is the Shinkansen (bullet train)

it's really fast even though it's so stable inside
can't help myself from falling asleep (same goes to my sister)

got off the Shinkansen (at Aomori) and saw snow for the first time in my life
wasn't very enthusiastic about it though
took a very long bus ride after that (quite bloody ex too, 2600yen per person)
hurray for low blood pressure... zzz...

arrived at our destination (hotel Towadako)

fooooooooooooooooooooooooooooddddd..........
really looks like the food you see in japan hour huh (minus the exaggerated terms)

(Japan day 5)
this was a pretty sucky day (traveled to Hakone)
basically we spent the WHOLE day on transportation and got to the HOSTEL in the night
so this picture shouldn't be surprising at all

got dragged out of my bed for dinner
surprisingly... i really miss eating like this (hurray for the hikkikomori life)

(Japan Day 6)
went around Hakone after buying the Hakone "free" pass (once again... expensive)
the japanese cats seem friendlier in a way
i squatted down from a distance and this cat walked around me by its own

stayed somewhere else this time round
forgot its name but anyway it's a ryokan
not sure but i think a ryokan is a traditional japanese inn
"normal" japanese food again

the breakfast was kinda english this time

fashion really spreads huh

oh and sorry for the uberly late update (school and all that)

got up earlier then my family to go walk around the streets
found some of the CDs i wanted (will post pictures later)

took me a while to cross the streets cause of this
don't know how they can still run a marathon in this uberly cold weather
anyway... i met up with my family and went to Harajuku (i think?)

argh very sorry i couldn't update for 1 whole week
had chalets, pre-orders and couldn't get my hands on the pictures

ok i arrived in japan at 1 in the afternoon

had to buy this JR EAST PASS thingy to get around japan (free train rides for 10 days)
it costs like 100++ for a child i think (youch...)
took the express train down to tokyo (1 hr ++ ride)

anyway once we arrived in tokyo station
we wondered around for like 30 mins trying to find the correct train to jimbocho
found the train and tried to go in with the JR EAST PASS
then the train station guy said that we can't use it here
this is the subway not the train line (.......... fuck)
so we bought temporary SUBWAY tickets to get to jimbocho

got out and walked up hella lot of stairs (had to carry my moms luggage too zzz)
started walking to our hotel after that
saw a shit load of adult dvds, videos and magazines stores along the way

finally reached the hotel (sakura hotel)
nice cheap rates and a decent room
oh and really friendly staff too

went out and had some dinner (i swear the people who prepare airline food don't know what is nasi lemak)
walked around looking for food and settled for this

quite good i must say even though it is uberly high in carbs
still had some time so we walked around

found a cd shop and got the discs my friend requested for
"daybreak's bell" and "my heart draws a dream" both by L'Arc-en-Ciel (which means rainbow in french)
another great band (even though their sense of fashion scares me at times)

went back, bathed and crashed on bed

basically... last week some friends of mine told me that my teachers organized an excursion for us

my maths teacher said those taking 'O' level maths must stay back and practice

This ain't exactly jazz, its acid jazz (also known as club jazz)
It combines elements of soul music, funk, disco, particularly looping beats and modal harmony.

the music is also very unique too imo...
the lead singer (Jay Kay) has many weird hats (some of which i want >.>)

another very tiring day today
went out with my friends to aljunied for another jamming session
i finally learned 2 chords... so happy ahahaha
then we tried piecing it together
it sounded very wrong... but it was good for a first... (i have a damn fucked up sore throat)
so yea... we sucked as always but its a big improvement since our first time...

hmm... so we jammed around for 2 hours
and then the uncle came in to tell us that our time is up
he kept saying "thank you ah..." "remember to take your handphones ah..."
but we can feel that "faster get out, don't waste my time" aura coming from him
so yea... very funny uncle...
will try avoiding that place in the future i think...
after that we walked from aljunied to bugis for a round of guitar freaks (so much easier...)

its about 7 minutes but watch it finish... its VERY good (if you can appreciate jazz)

well this whole band is damn good... their music is very unique imo
indeed she does some very exaggerated and unnecessary movements...
but admit it... the pianist (Hiromi Uehara) is VERY good...
just look at the way she plays... as if shes randomly "chopping" the keys...
i will admire anyone who can play as well as her...

went out with a few friends today to see that NUS anime bazaar thingy
looked at the place for less then 5 minutes and decided to leave (very dissapointing)
went down to brass prasah and penninsular again (spelled wrong somewhere)
found an electric guitar i want (not buying it now though)
headed down to a jamming room together for the first time
most of my friends were able to play some stuff
i just sat down and started singing random songs into the mic
later it was decided i am to become the vocalist (fucking baka)
oh and i changed my tagboard... friggin flashbox died on me

woops sorry... didn't say anything much about the puzzle since i didn't have a cam with me...
anyway went out and got a frame for the puzzle (frames are just as expensive as the puzzle itself o_O)
so yea started on the puzzle (with lots of help from my sis) and yea this is the progress after about 3 nights?
quite good eh? (my sis did the puzzle all the way till like 3 or 4? hardcore o_O)
anyway realised some pieces are missing (i swear i didn't feed them to the pigeons or anything like that)
meh... probably have to mail japan for the missing pieces zzz (anyone got the same problem before?)

well i went but i didn't buy anything since a friend of mine told me there wasn't any lucky star stuff left
and well yea... was crying in the toilet (we need more lucky star stuff!!!)
so... since the queue was kinda long went with my friends all the way to china square central (CSC)

may be buying one around december? my friends wanna learn, jam and do all that other stuff bands do
so yea after that we went to coscafe (doesn't seem like they have a lot of business) then to csc and walked all the way back to bugis for ~~fuck~~ fun (super fucking baka)

The Singapore distributor of popular Japanese animated cartoons called anime has won the right to track down fans who download the programmes illegally using their Starhub Internet accounts.
A Subordinate Court has ordered the telco to disclose the identity of about 1,000 of its subscribers accused of illegally downloading anime.

…StarHub had initially resisted the company’s efforts to get its customer data, said a spokesman for the telco, as it had “an obligation to protect our customers’ information”

But it now has no choice but to comply with the court order, as ODEX had “satsfied the court of its need for the information.

got out to celebrate with my family today
went to this japanese restaurant at suntec city by the name of kushin-bo
nothin that special but their desserts and sashimi was kinda good

hmm... got my onyx black ds lite today
the graphics may be kinda sucky but the games are nice...
oh yea... i got it to play music, view text files, view pictures and watch videos lol

currently at my sister's place
really nicely renovated (got some soft toys lying around too)
and arr forgot to bring my hp

playing lan with some of my friends in 9hrs time

spent the day at home
looked through my physics books but i got lazy a while later
then decided to create this blog to distract myself from playing as much (didn't work though...)

went to play basketball at night
man i still suck at basketball... getting better though... i think...
and now my poor basketball has scars all over it (can't even see the original colour anymore o.O)
on the brighter side... every scar has its own funny memory...

on a totally unrelated topic...
todays the day WCG finals start (for warcraft at least...)
wonder if i should go...
anyway singapore got eliminated from warcraft (both standard game and DOTA ahahaha)
expected them to last till semi-finals at least...
